Water lilies
I always thought water lilies were white. So when I went to the UP lagoon, I got this scarlet surprise. Checked the encyclopedia which said "water lilies have white, yellow, pink, red, scarlet, blue or purple flowers."
P.S. Thanks to Eye for suggesting to visit the lagoon =)
