Subic: The second time around
Found myself in Subic again on 28-29 April 2007 but this time with a bigger group. We visited the much talked about Zoobic and I think it was worth the P395 entrance fee. Good thing we were there early as the whole tour took almost 2.5 hours.
Our tour guide Jaywell said ostriches with black feathers are male, while those with brown are female. We were on an open tram when I took this so taking the shot was easier.
It was Lola's 80th birthday last April 29. Happy birthday! We had lunch at Meat Plus Cafe and the boys were very, very happy. There's 11 month old Bea, my sister, dad, and mom.
We spent the night at Legenda Suites in Cubi Point. Their rooms were very spacious and came with an electric oven, microwave oven, and a mini-ref; ideal for big groups and families. There was also an air-conditioned chapel, St. Therese's, nearby. Anticipated masses are held every Saturday at 6:30 pm.

Astig! Zoobic! (Walang gorilya dun?) :D Look at d Bebert. Looking good, a. :D
walang tiger pics? :D
the tigers were what i enjoyed seeing most when we went there. though, nakaka-awa yung mga buhay na manok na pinapakain sa kanila. :(
is this the buff beboygum? parang may muscle definition ang arms ah!
barat (or cash-strapped) lang siguro ako so I can't imagine shelling out the 395 :) Looks like it was worth it though
hi iggy! walang gorilya eh. pero monkeys marami. yup ampogi talaga ng asawa ko ;p ...you went there na pala bambi, and yes it was great seeing the tigers. scary! i had some tiger pics kaso puro nasa cage kaya di masyado makita kagandahan nila sa photos, sayang. live chickens? nung andun kasi kami dressed chickens na ang pinapakain, parang galing sa magnolia packs...cherry, malilibre ka ni bebert ng lunch niyan =) oo nga P395 is actually pricey pero worth it naman. though my brother says mas sulit daw sa avilon zoo. cheaper entrance fee and more unique animals.
Bebert looks a lot different ah. Manila Zoo pa lang nakikita ko, nd that was more than 10 years ago when it was still in a dismal state. Medyo inayos na raw ngayon.
dressed chickens na? hm, baka may pumuna na animal rights group...? :D
Apparently, the tigers have a thing for tasty, fashionable poultry...
ey nick, same here, it's been decades since i last visited manila zoo...bambi, yup dressed chickens na. i was expecting live chickens kasi yun ang nakalagay sa press releases nila dati. the tigers looked so bored ("dressed chicken na naman?!")...bebert, sawa na siguro sila. they probably want those black, little baboy ramos running around with the ostriches.
