Kitchen idols

Leafing through the cookbook made me so happy I went ahead and bought it. The pictures were so colorful and fun, the pages glossy, and the text easy to follow. I guess that would fall under impulse purchases, since I didn't need the cookbook. Another reason for the purchase is I like Jamie Oliver - he seems such a nice, jolly fellow. His thick accent always entertains me.

After almost 4 months since I bought the book, all I've done is drool over the yummy looking pictures and imagine I was in the kitchen expertly cooking 4 dishes at the same time. And of course ending up with something divine, or at least safe for humans, dogs, and cats to eat. Kelan kaya magkakatotoo? Maybe someday I'll start with something easy from Jamie's cookbook - pasta.

Also love to watch Ina Garten (Barefoot Contessa) and Nigella Lawson (Nigella Feasts). Take one look at their hips and you'll know how generous they are with cream, chocolate, cheese, and all that yummy stuff. Winner! I know I can't eat the sweets they prepare, but I still can look.

Peecha pie

Bea celebrated her 1st birthday on June 2, 2007 at Shakey's. This giant, delicious pizza was the BEST part of the birthday package. Walang patawad, binagyo ang picha pie. Too bad that giant thin crusts are not possible to make, according to Shakey's. But still, we were happy.
