How do you dew?
Dewdrops I rarely see because I'm such a sleepyhead. These are actually raindrops but they reminded me of dew. Webster defined dew as "anything regarded as refreshing, gently falling, pure."
Bless you
With the crazy weather we've been having in Manila, take care not to get sick okay. Cough and colds these days are common. Don't forget your umbrella and your fan. =)
Sweet dreams
Oh what I would give to get more sleep. Maybe I'm spreading myself too thin that's why I'm not getting enough. But when I do, I think I sleep quite soundly [Not literally I hope =)]. Sarap talaga panoorin matulog ang mga sanggol.
Hats off
Natuwa lang ako sa kulay. Though I have never been and perhaps never will be a hat person.
Fare hike
Simula 21 June 2005, P7.50 na po ang pamasahe sa jeepney. Smiling passengers like these guys would probably be harder to find these days.
Jaime Cardinal Sin
"Jaime Cardinal Sin, also Jaime Lachica Sin (August 31, 1928 - June 21, 2005) was a priest of the Roman Catholic Church in the Philippines. He led the Archdiocese of Manila as its archbishop and was later elevated to the rank of cardinal by Pope Paul VI. He concurrently served as Primate of the Philippines. He retired as the Archbishop of Manila on September 15, 2003 and was succeeded by Gaudencio Borbon Rosales. He was only the third native Filipino Archbishop of Manila — following centuries of Spanish, American, and Irish episcopacy. He died at the age of 76 on June 21, 2005." - Source: Wikipedia
Kahaphone lamang
Change is constantly a part of our lives. But with PAL I suppose there won't be any change. Late pa rin ang flights. I hardly ever fly or travel so I didn't mind waiting at the airport. People watching was already a treat. I wanted to take pictures of people passing and going. Kaso baka mahampas ako ng bag kung harap-harapan ko silang pichuran. It wasn't worth the risk =)
So I photographed this girl. I felt sentimental watching her and remembered how precious 3 pcs of 25 centavo coins were to me back in gradeschool and highschool to call my folks and ask to be picked up from campus. Then I graduated to phone cards. And now of course, cellphones, which as much as I hate to admit, are having such a strong hold on our lives. Kaya nga may area na for cellphone charging sa iba't ibang lugar.
Greenbelt
Spent Saturday at Greenbelt for a change. With the noise and huge crowd, found a few minutes of refuge in the Greenbelt 4 area with Bebert. There was only a handful of people - the fewer the better. Ayala Museum's facade now looks so modern, and there's a nice-looking cafe in front of it. Next time will go and visit the museum. Grade school pa yata ako huling dumalaw nung may field trip. Then there were these ponds full of orange, excited fish and lots of green cover from different plants and trees. Of course it wouldn't be Greenbelt 4 without the fancy, intimidating shops. We just looked at the windows and took a picture of one. Shempre kung shoppingan sa Greenhills and SM pa rin. =)
My so called exercising life
Due to the persistent rollercoaster-like state of my blood sugar levels, I had to go back to exercise. Dang. So Sunday afternoon I drove to Diliman with a sincere intention to jog or at least walk briskly. I did neither. I ended up taking pictures and walking ever so slowly. Ganda kasi ng tanawin eh =). Yesterday, after 6 long months, I went back to my taerobics class. Ngayon ang sakit talaga ng likod at balakang ko. Walang biro.

Sunday treat
Have you ever experienced going to Sunday mass with a whole troop of cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, parents and siblings? I just did sometime in April this year and am very thankful for it. I think it was the happiest mass I've attended so far. My favorite part was "peace-be-with-you". Moments after other mass attendees had settled down, we were all still mixed up, trying to send "peace" through a kiss / hug / belat / batok / kurot. It wasn't all that easy since we occupied two pews. But it sure was fun. "The supreme happiness in life is the conviction that we are loved."
--- Victor Hugo
At Nightfall
I need so much the quiet of your loveAfter the day's loud strifeI need your calm above all other thingsAfter the stress of lifeI crave the haven in your dear heart liesAfter all toil is doneI need the starshine of your heavenly eyesAfter the day's great sun--- Charles Hanson Towne
Roger Federer
Bebert told me last night Nadal won the French Open. Kakalungkot. Nadal even beat Federer at the semi-finals. Sigh. At any rate, Federer pa rin!!! Photos courtesy of http://rogerfedererexpress.homestead.com. How I wish I were the one who took the shots =)
Walking
But I would walk 500 milesAnd I would walk 500 moreJust to be the man who walked 1000 milesTo fall down at your door--- The Proclaimers
Fire tree
I love fire trees. So pretty. Walked around UP this morning (himala nagising ako) and found so many of them in the campus. Pity I ran out of batteries. Dibale, balik na lang next time.
Badminton
I labyu badminton. Kahit di mo ko mahal =). Miss na kita.
Tape
This is a cassette tape which contains music. Wala lang, baka kasi balang araw, hindi na alam ng mga kabataan kung ano ito. Sa museum na lang makikita. Haha! Thursday night I went through two drawers of tapes and pulled this one out from Everything But the Girl, the Amplified Heart album. Had a lot of fun listening, and was surprised I still knew the lyrics to most of the songs =). Sound quality was pretty good ah. Parang CD na rin. Back in highschool, I think tapes cost only P40. To be honest, am not much of an MP3 fan. I don't know why. Manang lang siguro talaga ako... ;p
Building castles
Each day this boy lovingly and patiently builds his castle until it stands majestic and beautiful. He does not falter or grieve despite knowing the waves will soon wash the castle away.
